    Thank you. He has agreed with everything I've said (or nearly so), but still wants to go so badly and/or is so desperate for his dad's acceptance that he, so far, has not listened to what I said. To me, what he's doing appears to be intermittent fasting -- not sure if it's that or what, though...

    We have only been together for 9 months and he just turned 31. I don't know his family at all -- never met any of them (they live in different states).

    My concern isn’t that’s it’s just about exercise but will graduate to then trying to control what and how much I eat and pressuring me to lose weight. I’m wondering if this is fair and rational, since he obviously knows how I look beforehand and would learn about my eating habits.
