I was just out in the back yard building a storage shed, and I discovered an active ant hill. They may be fire ants, because they're quite common here in Texas. Or they may be your regular garden variety ants - I'm not sure.

Here's my question. Since we have three dogs that live in our back yard, I can't use anything toxic to get rid of the ants. But I want to get rid ogf this colony before they head toward the house.

Any suggestions?
