Hi folks!
Though I don't get to post here as often as I used to, I'm checking in with an update for those who have been asking about this. For the past 16 months I've been hard at work producing a very special project, combining two of my all-time favorite things -- rock & roll and fat girls!
Partially inspired by the many "fat girl music" threads that have appeared here over the years (not to mention the "fat girl mix tape" I once compiled while in college), I will soon be announcing the release of a new album chock full of famous rock and pop songs about bigger gals. To bring credence to this admittedly unorthodox idea, I managed to round up a substantial roster of name talent to perform the material. People from classic bands with gold and platinum records to their credit, whose videos have been[FONT=arial,helvetica] featured on MTV and VH1 for over 20 years. There is even one current[/FONT] TV personality and two genuine BBW performers, including one member of this very forum!
The album will consist of over a dozen songs in total, all singing the praises of big, beautiful women. This is quite simply the largest, most labor-intensive effort I have EVER undertaken and you have NO idea how satisfying it will be to finally reveal it to everyone (after toiling in relative obscurity for over a year)! I've literally sunk my entire life's savings into this project because I believe in it so much, so I'm hoping it will resonate with more than a few of my fellow FAs and BBWs. The official announcement will be coming in the very near future, though I'll be working non-stop between now and then to make sure everything is ready to go.
In the meantime, here is a sneak preview of the teaser image I'll be using to promote the album to the rock audience, featuring the lovely and curvaceous Big Cutie Brooke! As some of you will recognize, Brooke has recreated a certain album cover by Motley Crue and I think you'll agree that she did a heck of a job at it.
Okay gang, back to work on the project. Lots more to do before I'm ready for the official unveiling, but I wanted to give a quickie heads-up to my Dimensions friends. Though an infrequent contributor over the last few years, the Dimensions forum has been a special place for me since the first issue of the print mag arrived in my mailbox in 1992. Hopefully this project will contribute something worthwhile to a community that has been so important to me for most of my adult life.
