So I have two betta fishes (siamese fighting fish)--I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, if there are any of you who are well-knowlegable of caring for bettas, can some of you give me some help?

The boys' names are Gavin (a new black and red one) and Diego (bluish-red). Okay, I've had Diego the longest but there is something wrong with him. I think he has a fungal infection (he has a little bit of white stuff under his mouth) and possibly fin rot. He won't swim around too much, and he keeps moping at the bottom of the bowl, just resting on the rocks. So, I try to keep his water clean, weekly, but I'm scared that in trying to keep his bowl clean, that I'm stressing him out even more. --And what's the best way to clean them? I need help. I'm scared it's over for him. His brother Gavin is doing very well, he swims around and has already started on his little bubble nest.

If there are any intermediate, expert, well-seasoned betta lovers and even breeders out there, CAN YOU HELP ME? GIVE ME SOME ADVICE OR SOMETHING?

thanx
