SSBBW, Magic, Vampirism, ~XWG - An initiate vampire is destined to gain a terrific amount of weight.

[Authors note: I have decided to drift into a darker theme for this story, and after some time to mull over all names, have concocted a story that I hope will entertain... Glass of blood and gin, anyone?]

Blood Mother
by Irish Bard

Location: Sagefield manor, Farnborough, Hampshire, England
Time: 1:00 14/8/06
Current weight: 120 pounds

Vampire rebirth is a strange process, Alex thought as she emerged from the pool, dripping in blood. It wasn't as simple as getting bitten by a fanged man in a long cape and waking up next morning with a hungering for the contents of other people's circulatory systems. First, you had to go through a weird ritual and drink some luminous green liquid, then bath in a pool of blood for a day and a night, and finally you had to drink the blood of someone. The ritual was getting very annoying, but in order for her to become a vampire, and therefore hang around with the goths properly, then she had to do this. She got out, along with the four others, Becky, Ryan and Lucy, and put on the black robes of night, which looked remarkably like dressing gowns with moons and stars hurriedly stitched on.

"Vampirets, may you please proceed through the doors to become fully fledged vampires."

Alex walked through the doors and into the dark room. Inside was something out of a gothic horror movie, strange tinted lights - deep purple, dark green, sinister blue - from candles and a chandelier of black glass. Black, death, and industrial metal played out of huge speakers, currently "Putrified Amputation" by Cannibal Corpse, was playing. Goths kissing, both male and female, each other, even going so far as licking. Black leather was everywhere, so much so that Alex thought that some poor farmer would find a skeletal version of his herd left... until she discovered the chair made out of animal bones.

Much to her surprise, it wasn't just goths attending this "Ceremony of Darkness"; ten metalheads had turned up, and were already challenging each other to rock outs on Guitar Hero 3. Also, the amount of emos there, surprisingly, equaled the number of goths; Alex thought that they would have never dared come round to a Goths only party. Then Darius got up and spoke, and she instantly forgot.

Darius was tall, dark and handsome, to put it simply. His long, jet black hair flowed down to his elbows, his well-cut black suit fitted his black shirt, and black trousers with a big black overcoat matched his almost mafia costume. The only things that weren't black were his white skin and his white tie. He clapped his hands, the music died, much to the disappointment of a number of people.

"Ladies and gentlemen," he said, "we are here to celebrate the entrance into the fold of Vampiridom of four new people. I would like to thank our friends from the Lycanthrobian Covens," the ten metal-heads cheered, "for attending this evening. The four have already drunken from the Chalice of the night, and bathed in blood for a day and a night, and now they must fulfill the final rite, Drinking Blood." The crowd cheered, and Alex felt emboldened; obviously everyone was behind her. Darius smiled a wry smile at the eagerness of the four.

"For those of us who don't know the process, let me go over some background knowledge. Previously, our kind was infamous for drinking blood of humans, for attacking people at night, draining their blood and leaving them to slowly have their cells cannibalize into Ghoul sells, and to have them be our servants." A few cheers from the back, but most of the rest looked bored, wishing Darius would finish.

"Now, of course, with the need to be on the quiet, that has changed. We now can no longer go out and murder some undeserving chav or preppy and drain them dry (a few boo's were heard, probably the same ones who cheered), but now we have emo's, or Homo sapien Arcanus Parasiticus, who give us the blood in exchange for our magic. Only a little blood is needed from an emo to ensure our survival, just like a little magic is needed from us to help the emo survive. Through this mutual bond, we have managed to survive in this modern era!" He threw up his arms in a grandiose gesture of power. "Bring out the emo partners for our new brethern!"

Four emos detached themselves from the gaggle and moved to the four vampirets, standing in front of them. Alex was in front of an emo girl of similar age, whom she recognised as Vivy, or Ivy as she preferred to be called. Two vampires next to the row gave each of them a wine glass. Alex could feel a deep, dark, primal hunger moving restlessly inside her, a hungering for blood. In one swift, almost erotic, movement, the emos cut their wrists with razor sharp nails, letting the intoxicating blood drip into the glasses. Drip, drip, drip.

The hunger took over Alex. Throwing her glass to the side, she jumped onto Ivy, burying her fangs deep into the jugular vein in her Neck. The blood gushed out into her mouth; deep, rich, sweet blood. It was like some kind of full-bodied wine, so rich, so succulent, with only a slight bitter taste from the shock that Ivy had gotten. More gushed out; more, more, more!

Someone finally wrenched her off, it was Josephine, a fat goth girl from the year above.

"Easy, girl, easy, you're off her now."

Alex's head was swimming, so good, so fulfilling. She had never been this happy in all her life; the blood was like some kind of drug, and she absolutely needed more! She tried to struggle, partly contented, her eyes roving around to find the next victim. All she saw were stunned faces.

"What?" she asked.

"You drained her almost completely!" Darius exclaimed, exasperated. His cool, confident air had gone out the window. He now looked like a con-man who had just been rumbled. "Dear heavens above, Alex, have you any idea what this means?"

"I got a bit hungry and I had a bit too much," Alex replied. "Don't worry, it won't happen again. And look!" she pointed to Ivy, who been attended by emos and who was sitting up, wobbling a bit. "Ivy's fine, it can't be that bad!"

"It is that bad!" Darius said. "Have you ever wondered why Josephine is that size?!"

"She eats a lot?" A hazarded guess.

"Vampires don't eat or drink," Darius replied. "She got fat because she had a "bit much," That's what blood does; the first lot you have determines how much you weigh, and after that you can only have more of it. She currently weighs 267 pounds. Do you know how much she drank?"

"The same amount as me?" Another hazarded guess.

"A quarter of what you had!" This shook Alex to the core. Alex, the girl who had been absolutely petrified by friends and family into remaining thin because otherwise she would die; she was now facing a prospect of being four times bigger than the biggest girl in college!

Darius continued. "We had another guy who tried to do the same stunt as you, with half the blood. Within the next full moon, he had died because his body couldn't contain the blood. It took us ages to clean up. It's amazing that you are still alive!" He turned away, his head deep in thought. Alex looked around; the shocked look of peoples faces had now changed to concern. Although a young one, Alex looked as though she could rival Darius in power some day, and now she had to slowly count down her hours before she died in a horrible way.

"Darius, you are forgetting something!" Francis, another vampire, and the group's report from the outside world, piped up. "Remember, the blood mother has recently died! You know what this could mean!"

Darius turned around, his face looking as though it was weighing possibilities. The elder vampires and emos were getting excited; the metalhead werewolves were grinning to each other.

"What?" Alex looked up at Josephine.

"The blood mother is a special vampire who is alleged to be able to carry the vampires over into the next hundred-year generation," Josephine explained breathlessly. "Essentially, they are fertile vampires. Not only that, but their blood is able to transfer this prospect over to others. A new blood mother reborn is heralded by the fact that they drain their first victim dry or to a state of near dryness."

"Which you have done, Alex!" Darius said, eyes gleaming. "The blood will quickly gain upon you before the next full moon; from then on you will assume your position as Blood Mother. You will dine whenever you choose, your emo will be feeding off your abundance of magic, the Vampire Princes will bow before you, you will be transported to a floating castle to travel around the world to usher in a new age of vampirism. Yes, Alex, the start of your life begins now!"
