British Riots?

Violent rioting is continuing to fan out across London as successive neighbourhoods succumb to looting and lawlessness.
As the third straight day of unrest came to a close, buildings and cars burned and shops continued to be vandalised and looted, while police shut down streets and evacuated neighbourhoods and the British Prime Minister flew home from holiday.

Also saying that violence has flared up in Liverpool and Birmingham now as well. All police including ones not trained for this have been called up in London apparently.

Isn't it time for the Met. to pull their heads out and bring the army out onto the streets to restore order as the police seem unable to do so?

Given that the rioters and looters are fundamentally cowards who are not coordinated and only spurred on my the prospect of further loot and to 'see shit burn', showing them some real stick should sort them out.

The original protest which sparked this wave of violence and destruction has been totally usurped and overtaking by events.
