Does anyone else like fried chicken livers? I know some people think organ meats are gross, and I feel that way about most of them too, but liver is my second favorite part of chicken, after breast meat. I first tried them at my first job, KFC, and liked them a lot right away. I also like chicken kidneys, and haven't known anyone else who eats those. I won't eat gizzards, hearts or any other organs though.
They're cheap too (only boneless meat I can think of for under $1 per pound) and quicker and easier to prepare than fried chicken pieces. I use the same kind of seasoned flour as for regular fried chicken (I like lots of salt and pepper and some garlic) and eat them with mashed potatoes and some other vegetable, and usually make gravy from the grease used to fry the livers, and smother the livers and potatoes with it. :eat2:
