hi all,
i'm new. and very sad right now. i recently started dating a big, handsome fellow with a beautiful gut, soft cuddly arms and a cute round face. and now he's going on a diet. he's not even very overweight. on the one hand, i'm trying to be supportive because i want him to be happy with his own body, but it's making me very sad that he's going to be thin.
recently, a male acquaintance of mine told me he was trying to lose weight. this guy is not even remotely pudgy. what the ...?!!
i feel as though the mainsteam media is becoming a lot better about accepting women of all body shapes and you see a lot more beautiful, curvy, sexy women on tv than you used to. however, where are the big handsome men on television? (except matt on heroes... yummm....) for the most part, all the men presented as good looking are unnaturally lean and lumpy with muscle. >< this makes me angry.
thoughts?
