Rosy Esparza fell to her death from the rollercoaster at a Dallas/Ft. Worth area amusement park. The big issue is that her restraint didn't seem to work properly when she initially boarded the ride. The ride "handlers" assured her it was OK. If only she'd gone with her gut feeling and requested to be let off she'd still be alive.
There are several conflicting reports about the restraint system. It's apparently a lap bar that uses hydraulics to apply the restraining force. It's not a seatbelt based system. Unfortunately the media is making a big deal today about her weight contributing to her not fitting properly into the restraint system.
