I had a conversation with someone today who told me that he didn't think fat people respect themselves. His only reason was because no self respecting person would ever be fat. He said this while talking to me, an obviously fat woman who is a size 18. I was so disgusted that I didn't know what to say other than a. He does not have the power to determine who respect themselves and who doesn't and b. Self respect has nothing to do with weight. In fact, it has little or nothing to do with what a person looks like. Then I told him the conversation was over and hung up.
