Food and Service, how do they rank in your Restaurant experience?

If you rated a restaurant on a scale from 1 to 10 on total pleasure in the restaurant and you started from a 10 and deducted for problems with the food or the service, what’s the best score you would give the restaurant if the food was perfect but the service was at least two of the following: inattentive, rude, condescending, rushed and too touchy feely.

For me I tend to enjoy myself more if the food is just decent but the service is wonderful then if the food is wonderful but the service rubs me the wrong way. I would rate a restaurant as above no higher than a 6 and, if the problems repeated themselves a second time, would write the restaurant off my list of places I regularly attend. On the other hand I have a number of restaurants that have food that’s at best “good”, but where I know all the wait staff and they treat me with friendly respect and know my quirks, such as drinking gallons of iced tea(and have refills ready for me periodically, even if I’m not really ready for it).

Et tu Foodies?
