Glenn Beck vs. Fox News

There's a slim chance Fox News will pull Glenn Beck's show if he keeps losing their advertising money.

"As of Sept. 21, 296 advertisers have asked that their commercials not be shown on Beck's show (up from 26 in August 2009). Fox also has a difficult time selling ads on "The O'Reilly Factor" and "Fox and Friends" when Beck appears on those shows as a guest. Beck's show is known in the TV sales world as "empty calories," meaning he draws great ratings but is toxic for ad sales."

I found a video where Beck is supposed to address his advertiser boycott. I haven't watched it all the way through because he goes off on this anti- Obama tangent about halfway into it. Where the "grassroots protest" connects to an advertiser boycott on a major news channel is a mystery.

I have to say I find it amazing that the ONLY issue the network has with him is the drop in revenue from the loss of ads and viewers. It's disturbing.
