Glutton Gremlins

The glutton gremlins met on Devil’s Night, as gremlins tend to do, to brag about all the mischief they have caused as of late. While typical gremlins would tend to gloat about plane crashes they had caused or other acts of mechanical chaos, the more specific glutton gremlins have stories that relate to their specific talents of working against a normally restrained person’s willpower. They remain in the shadows and use telepathy to simply play into a person’s weaknesses and insecurities in a way that makes the individual think they are acting of their own free will when they go back for thirds at a buffet or finish an entire cake they meant to have only a slice of.

The glutton gremlins derive great pleasure and actually sustain themselves with the energy given off when person allows themselves to let their inner glutton trump their restraint and willpower. A person taking seconds of dessert even though they have to unbutton their pants to allow enough room, gives off a delicious energy for the glutton gremlins to snack on.

Nothing excites them more then being able to use their supernatural ability to exploit, say, a bulky linebacker’s weakness for fried chicken by unknowingly drilling into his subconscious the notion that the off-season is long enough to enjoy himself a little and then workout. Of course when the workout part never comes and he waddles into training camp having gained sixty pounds in the off season, the successful glutton gremlin has feasted endlessly off his sloth and procrastination.

Another example would be enhancing the cravings of a pregnant woman and filling her head with the reasoning that any weight she gains will easily be lost during breastfeeding. A good glutton gremlin can exploit this to the point people have to look closely to tell if the mom-to-be is in fact pregnant or just obese by the time her water is close to breaking. The glutton gremlin would then enjoy more than his fill should the new mother opt for bottle feeding and pack on another thirty pounds during her time off from work.

These gremlins use gluttony and denial as an artist would use a paint brush and unsuspecting humans as the same artist would use a canvas, since along with their ability to alter a person’s mindset they can also alter where a person’s body distributes the added weight they pack on. Think your wife’s ass is getting bigger simply because she’s sitting behind a desk at work all day? It might be because the glutton gremlin that subconsciously convinces her that going to the vending machine is acceptable three times a day is getting a kick out of focusing all those unnecessary calories into her soft but disproportionately large backside.

Almost as exhilarating to them is hearing about the exploits of their fellow gremlins, which is why when the three grizzled creatures met on the roof of an abandoned warehouse the night before Halloween they all had huge, toothy grins on their gnarled faces.

The area was free of any human inhabitants so the gremlins could allow themselves to be visible when most times they exist in shadow or mist. If anyone were to ever see the scaly skin, huge yellow eyes, slimy teeth and sharp claws, they would forever be grateful the gremlins mostly kept themselves hidden from human eyes.

Gallow was first to tell his story as he seemed very anxious and actually spoke over Sabbax’s tale to get things started.

The gremlins’ earthly voices were relegated to grunts and hisses, but their minds were powerful enough that they could speak amongst each other with their thoughts. So Sabbax and Virren got a clear image of Amber Tamblin.
