Hey there.

So, this year, for her Christmas gift, I planned a shopping gift for my girlfriend. Her budget is always tight and I thought this would be a cool thing for her.

A couple months ago, she was complaining about her lack of jeans so I took her to Lane Bryant to buy a pair. She is an 18/20 with a bit of junk in the trunk. She loved the jeans we got.

So, I was shocked with this Christmas, we went to Lane Bryant and they now have this color system - Red, Blue, etc.

Well, suffice it to say, none of the jeans they now had fit her. After trying on about 8 pairs, she and the sales person were both a bit frustrated and we left the store.

And of course, I looked like an ass because this essentially means I got her nothing for Christmas.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? What can I do to empathize? What was the big deal on trying on that 9th pair of pants?

I suggested we go to the Lane Bryant outlet to see if they had pants from our earlier shopping trip but she would have none of it.

What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance for your input.
