Some will say that race should not be part of this statement, but we can't deny there's the belief or thought that black men (Latino men are sometimes thrown in) appreciate and enjoy thicker women more than white men do. This gives the impression that outside of these groups, the occasional black/latino man and men overall just do not, by large, find BBWs attractive. This creates a delusion if this isn't really true.
If you believe that more men than realized find BBWs attractive, do you agree with the statement above...that the reality is that many men (especially non-black) really find plus-sized women attractive (in certain ranges) but they just care too much to proudly and comfortably seriously date and marry them? They fear what friends, family, and society generally will say because some men consider the looks of the women they choose to date to be reflections of their status and virility as a man.
I hear BBWs complain often about men hitting on them or flirting but never taking them seriously for a committed relationship or eventually marriage. I've heard many stories of men with thin women for wives getting their jollies on with porn that involves BBWs. The only men looking at these sites and mags aren't just out-of-the-closet FAs. These men will go out and intentionally SEEK plus-sized women for sexual encounters and I don't buy that it's only the idea, in some cases, that they believe larger women are easy for sex. Most men MUST be attracted on some level in order to involve themselves sexually with the women.
When I've visited adult shops in town, I see a wide selection of BBW mags and porn on the shelves. It's not the majority of the store's inventory but it certainly isn't hidden in the back and set up with only a few copies of material. There's enough inventory to imply that it sells well in order for the store to stock it.
Men are seeing body qualities (natural rather than fake I might add) that they just aren't seeing in mainstream porn whether it be hard or soft market...especially if men enjoy ass, soft areas, and breasts and lots to see in these areas.
