I've dealt with a milder case of level 1 Hidradenitis Suppurativa since my early 20s. It never progressed in severity, but was a constant nuisance all these years.

I noticed that since I started taking plaquenil for my autoimmune disease, I haven't had a single HS outbreak. Not even during PMS time, and for the past 26 years I would have one or two HS sores crop up like clockwork every single month. But not the past few months. The plaquenil seems to have put it into remission.

I knew there was a connection between it and inflammation. But didn't expect the medication to make this much of a difference.
