I haven't seen anything about this particular topic yet, so I thought I would ask it here.

Has anyone here ever been in a relationship with someone who suffered from a mental illness that made your relationship challenging? Specifically, I'm very interested in depression and ocd, but I wouldn't mind hearing about other types as well and how you/your partner coped with it. Do you feel like these relationships are hopeless or doomed from the start (even with treatment)? Or do you view it as simply an obstacle that can be overcome easily? In the end, did you feel like it was worth the time and effort you put in?

This is something that I'm kinda dealing with right now, so I'd love to hear your feedback.

Mod note: I posted this in the Lounge because it's kinda unrelated to the other sections topics, but if it needs to be moved it's okay and I apologize for the inconvience.
