Take one nice London Broil. (Shoulder steak) You can use any kind of steak, as long as it is thick and isn't too tough.
Throw it on a VERY HOT bbq. Char it well on the outside but you want it still to be nearly raw on the inside.
Slice it up thin. Save the drippings. Put aside.
Fry up plenty of garlic and onions in butter or olive oil. Add the steak and cook it a little bit; now add a bunch of sliced mushrooms; the drippings from the steak, and a bit of red wine - not too much.
Add a little bit of flour, slurried up in water, to thicken the gravy. Cook it a little more but the steak should still be a little pink.
Serve the whole mess over egg noodles.
