A new study just released in NZ claims that obesity is closely related to a number of stress and anxiety disorders. The sampling was done over 13,000 cases so should be reasonably representative and, if I heard it right, finds that there is little correlation between post-traumatic stress and obesity (there is however a socio-economic and race correlation) but there is a strong correlation between anxiety based disorders and stress.

What do you think? Is it more stressful being fat?
