Love Your Body: Healthy Living at Every Size Support Group
Starts September 15 to November 10, 2010.
Meets for 8 weeks on Wednesday nights.
From 7:30p.m.-9:00p.m.
Topics covered include:
Week 1 - Intro to size acceptance and Health at Every Size.
Week 2 - Hazards and frauds of dieting and your dieting history.
Week 3 - What is normal healthy eating? Reducing emotional eating or disordered eating.
Week 4 - Joyous movement and positive fitness attitudes and workouts for the round body.
Week 5 - Self-esteem enhancement. Changing negative thinking patterns.
Week 6 - Size discrimination and prejudice what it is and how to cope with it.
Week 7 - Sexuality and dating. Assertiveness training. Image make-overs.
Week 8 - Final group and party. Size acceptance resources and keeping connected.
Please pre-register by calling 815-639-0300. Cost is covered by insurance or a self-pay fee of $15.00 per class. Open to females and males age 18 and up.
