A couple days ago, the universe reached out, and spoke to me, saying "Find this story that you think you remember", and I, being a loyal and obedient member of the Universe, thought to myself "Ok!". The story I am searching for is one in which there is a legal system enforced by weight gain as a punishment, and in this system, every 100 pounds on a sentence is represented by a belt. Beyond that, the only thing I really remember is that the protagonist was sentenced to gain 10 belts worth of weight.
Any help that could be brought to bear in finding this tale would be greatly appreciated.
