Going to be brave. I read the Moderator's post. Let's be civil on this one.

(BBD, I hope this thread is OK?)

Headline: George Zimmerman emerges from hiding, rescues truck crash victim, police reportedly say

George Zimmerman has been in hiding for more than a week since a Fla. jury cleared him of charges in the 2012 shooting death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin. But last week, the embattled neighborhood watch volunteer "pulled an individual from a truck that rolled over," Sanford police captain Jim McAuliffe told ABC News. According to ABC News, Zimmerman was one of two men to rush to the aid of a family of four trapped inside an overturned SUV.

NBC News reports that the incident took place on July 17 in Sanford, Fla. and by the time police had arrived on the scene, the family of four had escaped the vehicle, which had caught on fire. No injuries were reported. Zimmerman and another man were helping two children and their parents get out of the overturned Ford Explorer, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office told NBC News.

According to ABC News, McAuliffe said the traffic accident occurred at a busy intersection of two highways, and that Zimmerman's rescue of the family trapped in the SUV is the first known sighting of him in public since he walked out of a Fla. courtroom after being acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges on July 13. The verdict triggered protests around the country and has resulted in Zimmerman being the target of numerous death threats.
