BBC TV show: Big Meets Bigger - 1. USA

I watched this on the BBC iPlayer...
Two cute Brit BBWs (yeah, they are why I watched it :p) who are mostly unworried by being big, fly over to Mississippi where they stay with a much bigger family...

The basic premise is to scare them with the "ghost of fatness future"...
Much of the voiceover was standard fatphobic propaganda... :sigh:
Use of keywords "appalling" (diet) "ballooned" etc. =
The confusion between correlation vs. causation re. fatness & diabetes especially bugged the scientist in me.

On the swing side I felt that all the show participants were allowed to come across as themselves... It didn't have so much of a freakshow sensibility to it as I expected...

Did anyone else see this and what did you think of it? and/or the issues it brought up?
