Inspired by the example of American Tea Parties, British Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan has started a European Tea Party Movement. Yesterday he threw a Tea Party in Brighton in the UK.
Unfortunately I didn't find many articles on the movement in the English-language media (but quite a few in Dutch-language newspapers). Here is one article in English: http://euobserver.com/9/29567
How do you all feel about this?
Personally I am not yet sure where to stand. On the one hand I am generally in favour of more European integration, on the other hand I am tired of the corruption and waste of money in the European Commission. I am curious how this movement will develop.
For those who are interested, here is the website of the movement: http://euroteaparty.freedomrules.org/
