Okay...so it's more of a "sharp turn ahead", but, heres proof that wonderful things really do happen when you least expect it. I have a friend
someone Ive shared tears and laughter with and shared all my dirty little secrets with
someone Ive created a bond with
someone Ive always cherished and secretly desired. He and I met a year ago, in wal-mart, of all places, and became fast friends over email, phone calls, and quick lunches here and there
but always just friends, because of the direction his life was going. I accepted it
never revealing how I really felt, plodding along with my own life, while very happy to have him in mine, in whatever way. A few months ago, though, his life took a new turn, and he distanced himself from me, telling me he was doing a life-evaluation. This past Sunday, he revealed to me part of the result of that evaluation. In a piano bar, after slow dancing to a questionable, but sweet, rendition of Broken Road (by Rascal Flats), he informed me that he reciprocates my feelings, and that he wants to grow old with me.
