Maybe this should go in the foodee confessions thread, but I thought I would give it a thread of its own.

When I was a kid, my parents gave me a really hard time about my weight, so needless to say, I wasn't allowed to have much junk.

I would often go to the store and buy candy (I remember my faves back then - Rollos, Cheers, M&Ms, Mounds, Raisinets, Milk Duds, Sugar Daddys, Turkish Taffy, Bit-o-Honey, etc) and snack cakes (Tastykakes. Yum) and hide them in my room. I would also raid my mom's secret stash of candy.

It was forbidden, so it became larger than life to me. Maybe that's why I am a foodie now? And maybe that's why I am so fat!

P.S. I also remember throwing the wrappers out my window so the evidence wasn't in my trash can. One day my neighbors asked me why I was throwing garbage out my window onto their driveway. I was MORTIFIED.
