just wondering what the accuracy of digital scales may be compared to the original dial type scales. the reason i ask is that i have both. glass plated digital scales with a precision to 0.1kg apparently and a pair of traditional scales that give a reading which has to be read by the user. on the same surface, i weight 132kg today on the digital scales and 144kg on the traditional scales. a 12kg difference is an awful lot and my bmi changes from 51 to 56! the digital scales have a limit of 180kg, the traditional scales takes 24 stone which is about 150kg.
