Since our beloved China 46 has closed, I was poking around trying to find alternatives. I really like John's Shanghai in Edgewater for good soup dumplings, but I came across this little place (no pics from my visit but plenty in the links below):

This place is only 4 miles down Route 23 from me. If anyone likes really spicy authentic Szechuan cuisine and they want to join me... let me know. I enjoyed the sauce salted pork, the dry fried lamb (extremely spicy), and the luffa vegetable (see second link). I also got some of the spicy baby wontons. If anyone goes to Chengdu 1, please forgive the decor as it's all about the food. Don't order off the menu past page 2 (it's all Americanized after the Szechuan section -- yes even the Chef's Specialties... )
