If you post in somebody else's thread and that person decides to delete their thread. Then whatever you posted there is lost correct?

Sometimes people post something thats strikes them as thought-provoken, clever, or meaningful..or whatever else the reason might happen to be...and dissapointment might be written all over their face if they happen to notice that they lost what they had written due to a thread that "fleed" the board.

Any opinions on this?

I think its fair that we delete our own posts...but we also delete other posts as well..if its true that the "thread starter" has the power to do so.
