We've all heard the expression, "those that don't learn from history are destined to repeat it". I'm dumbfounded that people in our government can't understand why Iraq is again crumbling. They didn't learn that from before the crusades that this area has been embroiled in sectarian and political turmoil and outside intervention is going to be temporary at best. I hope we do not spend more money, arms or lives in this region. Let them go back to their internal fighting. Let Iran and Iraq go at it for a while. Focus our resources on freeing this country of their imported oil.
