There was a thread here that I've searched for unsuccessfully, about making money from home. I thought I'd also post this link for Survey Savvy, a place I have belonged to for a while. They have been around for years and are reputable. Not only are you paid for taking surveys, but you also earn money for those whom you have signed up who take surveys, too. It's what you see is what you get and not a come-on. In the interest of full disclosure: if you click my link and sign up I will earn a small amount from what you do. I know that some others have signed up from here under my name a few years ago, and it seems they have been active. You'll never get rich from it, but a few extra bucks here and there for a few minutes of your time adds up to a nice little reliable amount.
