Hi All,
I just got off the phone with Wayne. Sandie is doing good. All her vitals are good. There is some concern about her lungs and this was to be expected because she has sleep apnea. She will be kept overnight at Baylor. She is on a respiratory apparatus and a pulminary specialist has been called on for consultation. They are keeping her sedated overnight. Wayne is planning on staying at the hospital tonight as well...in the waiting room. He has full confidence in the Hospital and staff. He has their laptop and may post later.

Keep those prayers coming folks!

Well, Punkin said I'd probably post later. So ten minutes later, here I am.

Sandie made it through the surgery with flying colors. Thanks to everyone who sent their prayers and well wishes - you folks can't imagine how good you've al made us feel.

I went in to see Sandie in Recovery a little while ago. Even though she's heavily sedated, the nurses told me she might be able to hear me if I leaned real close to her ear. So I leaned in, told her I loved her, and reminded her that she has a lot of people pulling for her.

I'm gonna be working my way sround the bords here for a while - there's no TV in this waiting room, and I have to do SOMETHING to occupy my mind. If there's any change in Sandie's condition, I'll let you folks know.

I'm pulling for her, Wayne. Hopefully they'll keep her sedated and pain free until at least tomorrow!

And- the worst of it is behind you; just relax, breathe a big sigh of relief and - enjoy the hospital food! :D

Actually, the food here at Baylor University Medical Center is pretty damn good. They have an upscale eatery downstairs from teh surgical wing.
I had some BBQ chicken and sausage for lunch with mac & cheese on the side and it was delicious. And believe it or not, I had sushi for dinner.

Ha! Who knew? Don't get too comfy - Sandie's gonna want to be getting home to see those "kids" of yours (Beau and the gang)! ;)

She will be fine. I was kept on the vent for 24 hours after my surgery just to make sure I could breath on my own.. I already said many prayers for her.

Thanks, Monique. The nurse in Recovery told me that right now theyplan to keep it in untill 8 tomorrow morning, when the pulmonologist will supervise its removal.

Right now, it looks like she'll be discharged early tomorrow afternoon.

I have been thinking about you two all day. I am really glad she has come through this and you guys can put this whole problem behind you two. I will be thinking about you tomorow as the tube gets removed and stuff. (she's going to have a sore throat for a couple of days)

Thanks.

I'm just trying to keep my mind occupied right now. I have my laptop on, with three Internet Explorer windows open. One is here on Dimensions, one is loggen into my AOL e-mail account, and the third is on my MySpace page - I have a 75-song music player there that plays them at random, so I have something to listen to.

If anyone wants to hear the songs I selected, click on the MySpace link under my avatar.

Best wishes to Sandie, Wayne. I'm glad it's over and went well. Hopefully we'll hear from her here soon.

p.s. I think there's a Stevie concert in Arizona coming up soon. :)

Thinking of you both... hope you're home together soon.

I was thinking of her today. I'm so glad that everything went well. She'll feel so much better without that pesky gallbladder, believe me!
And on another note....what's with the good hospital food?! :eat2: What? they don't serve 'mystery meat' anymore? :p

I was pleasantly surprised by the good food here at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. It was much better than the slop I got at Presbyterian Hospital in Greenville the last time Sandie was in the hospital.
