I've mentioned this before and I will mention it again, because NOLOSE is an organization that is perfect for many people on this board in particular. If you haven't heard of it, you need to go there and get involved! There is a conference coming up in 2010, and while that seems far away, it is going to be AMAZING, as always.

NoLose is a vibrant community of fat dykes, bisexual women, transgendered folks and our allies, seeking to end the oppression of fat people!

And the Fat Girl Flea Market is a great event with proceeds going to NOLOSE - and while I can't make it, if you're in the NYC area, you should definitely check it out, no matter what your orientation. That's all from me for now. I just thought I'd let you all know that NOLOSE is a place/space like no other, and their conferences are definitely worth shelling out the money to get to. And did I mention that they offer scholarships and financial aid to those who can't afford to pay full price to get to the conference? The Fat Girl Flea helps to offset the cost of this financial help. If it wasn't for financial aid, I wouldn't have been able to attend when I did.
