Well, folks, it finally happened - I lost my home. I declared BK and it was finalized in Feb so I knew it was going to happen. I had a guy living there who was supposed to be getting my stuff together and moving it for me...well, that's not exactly what happened. He's a mentally ill person and did not even take the trash out for a year, so all my stuff is covered in spider eggs and roaches.
I made 3 trips down there and got most of my irreplaceable things but there are still a few left I was physically unable to get to. I am unable to afford any more trips (my parents financed my last one) and was desperately hoping once they put my stuff out on the curb that someone would be willing to go there and get my irreplaceable stuff. It would be a nasty job and I could not pay anyone anything but my undying gratitude. I am not even sure at this point when this will happen but I have neighbors who are keeping me posted. Unfortunately she is in a wheelchair and he just got out of the hospital so they are unable to help much.
This is a probably the wrong venue for this and if so I apologize. I know there are a few folks from Austin here though.
