Given that:
- guns seem to be an unavoidable part of life in much of the US,
- that pop culture provides a dangerously inaccurate view of guns, and
- that many parents cant/wont educate their kids about them
should schools in the US find space in their curriculum to teach about guns? The laws around them, the myths around them, their safe handling, the stats around them, and so forth? On the theory that if they are a fact of life, kids should know the facts.
