I hope I do the right, this is my first time to ever post a new thread. Yesterday, I was picking up my daughter from my moms house and mentioned to my mom that I was going out of town in March and could she babysit for me. Well, she wanted to know what I would be doing and I told her I was going to a BBW Bash in Austin. She responds to me with "those people have you so brain washed." In shock, I look at her and ask what she means by that comment. She proceeds to tell me that being a "bbw" is not something to be proud of. So I looked at her and said "well mom, I am big, what should I do stay in hiding?" This really hurt me. I was all excited that I had found that there are people that love BBW and March would be my first time to attend an event for BBW and now I am second guessing if I should even go. How do we get through to the ones we love without hurting them even though they have no remorse in hurting us?
