Ted Cruz has a Good Idea

While most of Ted Cruz's ideas are ridiculous, his proposal to implement a 19% Value Added Tax (VAT) actually has some merit. Unfortunately, most Americans hate this type of European style tax.

I part ways with most liberals who think VATs are regressive. Rather I believe that VATs are a great way to reach previously untapped areas of the economy (i.e. the word of the very rich and the black market).
