I've been wondering what others felt about seeing "United 93", which opens tonight.
A lot of people have been discussing this on the radio, and I'm ambivalent about going. It is obviously a film made to honor the heroism of those aboard that doomed flight; it has gotten the blessing most of the families of the victims who were aboard the flight. Its producers are going to donate a portion of the proceeds to a memorial fund for the crash site.
However, even if I can suspend disbelief, and accept these actors as the people involved, or if it can bring me closer to remembring the real people who were such heroes, I wonder if I am prepared to experience the emotions I might feel when seeing it.
What do you think?
