I could really use some help.

I am having a bra crisis. I recently lost some weight so I know that I need to get some new bras.

I went to a lingerie store a few weeks ago and let myself get talked into a Le Mystere Dream Tisha bra in 38D (the size I used to wear). I wasn't sure about it, but I figured I would give it a try. I wore it a few times and it is so uncomfortable. It's padded and it is digging into me and feels like a torture rack. When it's hot, I can feel myself overheating in it. Also, the side seam ripped out under the arm and I think that is an indication that it was too small.

So now I am at a loss as to what kind of bra to get, and what size I am. I am going back to the lingerie store to look at other brands, but the ladies there seemed pretty clueless in how to help me figure out what kind of bra to get. They kept asking me what I thought looked good, and I don't know anything about bras or how they are supposed to look or feel. Could I still be the same size, if I lost weight? Could I have gotten bigger? How do you know what kind of a bra to get?

Any ideas? Thanks all.
