Hey all!
So, I am planning a big party for my sister and we are going to go all out on a cool cake. I'm working with a local baker who is going to let me and my sis have a tasting session (yay!!), but I wanted to ask everyone here....have you ever had a cake iced with fondant and if so, how did it taste?

You always see those shows on TV now about these awesome cake decorators (Ace of Cakes and Cake Boss come to mind...) and they always make their amazing creations with fondant. To me, it looks like it may taste a little weird, like plasticky or something...

We'll have the option to choose between a bunch of different icing styles, but, I want to know, do you like the way fondant tastes? Is it worth it for stylistic reasons on a cake??
