When I was a teenager, we had a great tex-mex fast-food chain in Texas called "Taco Patio". They made giant burritos with good flour tortillas loaded with green chilies and shredded cheese. At some point, Patio Frozen Foods sued them, they had to change their name to "Taco Plaza", and soon after, they went out of business.
I'm still searching for another good burrito place.
I'm traveling out west now, so I finally HAD to try the famous "green burrito" from Carl's Jr.
I ordered it with extra green chilies. The person working the counter said "Huh?" I said I wanted extra green chilies on it. I had assumed the green part was chilies.
He finally said "extra green sauce"? I said "yeah". It turned out the green sauce went in a packet. I took it to the room and forgot to eat it with the packet. In truth, the burrito wasn't any good...I'm not sure the packet would have helped. It wasn't even as good as a Taco Bell burrito.
And Taco Bell is two notches below Purina Cat Chow in my book. ;P
Any fast-food chains around that serve good burritos?
