Hey guys! Well, its Mardi Gras in my wonderful city and I must admit I have been out for the past three days having way too much fun, eating way too much fantastic New Orleans food(yes indeed, we know how to cook down here), drinking way too many shots and showing way too much skin.
And I have made an observation watching several parades make their way through the streets. They have all of these little marching dance groups that parade and bump and grind and gyrate down the streets and I am so bummed to see they are all tiny little wisps barely breaking 100 lbs. So my sister(Tink977) and I decided that we want to form our very own dance troupe made up entirely of fat girls. Yes!!! Hell, I can dance and shake my ass too....just as good as those skinny girls.
Maybe I had one too many jaeger shots, but I was seriously wanting to get out there in that barely there costume and shake what my mama gave me...
But anyway, we had a great time this weekend. Unfortunately I am at work today.....dragging my feet of course. But I will be back out there tonite. Its Lundi Gras!! Rex and King Zulu arrive on the Riverfront today. And Harry Connick Jr.'s parade rolls tonite. I love him. Woohoo!! We've got until midnight tomorrow night before all the festivities come to an end and they sweep the streets clean of all the revelers. I'll be out there......and as a side note, its going to be warm tomorrow. You know what that means...huge amounts of nudity. Awesomeness!!
Oh one more thing, to mark my weekend of Mardi Gras naughtiness, I think I am going to get my newest tattoo tonight. I'm getting a fleur de lis on the back of my neck to mark my love for this city. Can't wait.....its my fourth tat.
