Recently, an acquaintance of mine, a young woman, disclosed that she now has a rare form of arthritis.

The thing is, she mentioned that she would unlikely be able to continue with her current exercise program. And I know her well enough to know that this will lead to a hike in her weight.

I am unsure how to feel about this. While I am certainly excited that I will be seeing more of this young woman I cannot help but feel a little bit guilty over that pleasure.

Thoughts?
