I admit that I love oatmeal. I hated it as a kid ;but, appreciate it now since I've taken the time to experiment and try different toppings. I also eat the cereal most of the year.

What brand and type of oatmeal do you enjoy best? instant? old fashioned?
I can deal with the instant as long as it's a maple, brown sugar or cinnamon swirl flavored.

I prefer the old fashioned stove top variety and as for my favorite toppings : a spoonful or two of granulated brown sugar and some dried cranberries.

What are your favorite toppings?

I've listed some recipes below from different sites. My only disclaimmer is that some of the recipes that I am posting were from 'Bodybuilding' sites and they tend to advocate adding supplements into your cereal. I'm not too keen on that as I have never tried it and not too sure how the powders (even unflavored) ones would affect the taste or texture of your cereal. I've highlighted the supplements in red.
