Question about marriage/morals?

Without going into a big explanation and justification, I want to ask a simple question.

If you were married, and the marriage ended, and you then met and fell in love with someone else, is it ok (not legally speaking, as there is no law against it) morally or culturally speaking to get engaged before the divorce from the ended marriage is complete?
