So, what is beauty?

Having just read the thread "Your body and self esteem in the face of fat - phobia" and some of the comments on beauty, I realised I'm not sure of what a good definition for beauty is.

So thin can be beautiful, fat can be beautiful, colours can be beautiful, actions can be beautiful. What is beauty?
