Dear Hyde Parkers:
For the first time in six years, the Hypies are on hiatus. The producer of the beloved awards show had a heart attack in late February and is still operating at about 3/4 steam.
In addition, the production company behind the Hypies is boycotting the production this year because of North Carolina's punitive new law, HB 2, which strips all discrimination protection, wage protection, and freedom to make pishie.
In short, I just don't quite have the energy for the background work leading up to the Hypies, and I apologize. I sincerely hope that the Hypies and I will be back next April Fool's Day bigger and better than ever.
