The Trashmen's Surfin Bird was making a parody of another popular song during the time period and of course Family Guy spoofed it. I don't count parodies as bad songs because its not supposed to be taken seriously.

Weird Al made a career out of parodies and if you want bad parodies, check out Syphyilis Girl on MAD TV (pretty sure that's how they spelled it too)

well, I think Weird Al is a jack ass and don't like anything he's ever done, so maybe my vote for stupidest song should be every parody ever made

(with the exception of anything Andy Samberg or Adam Sandler do. I like them )

The single most ridiculous song I have ever heard is (sorry British people) "Wuthering Heights" by Kate Bush. I cannot say it's bad, because it does have a certain hook, but I can say that it's patently bizarre. Want more ridiculous? The music video.

However, the cover by Pat Benatar is not ridiculous. It rocks.

"Mountain Jam" by The Allman Bros. is the second most ridiculous song I have heard. It's 34 minutes long.

And the album award goes to Metal Machine Music by Lou Reed. Although I guess any "song" off that qualifies on its own as well. :sad:
