I saw this program yesterday called *COME TOGETHER* and was about the making of Cirque de Soleils show *LOVE*; which I really really wanna see BAD, especially after they released the remastered BEATLES last week!!!!

So I haven't really started planning a trip, with dates or anything, but figured the DIMS crowd has some amazing ideas for visiting VEGAS, please share any amazing deals, ways to get good room rates/air fares; buffets that just rock, or shows you think are MUST SEEs in this lifetime.

vegas has tons of stuff to see and do! some of the cost cutting tips i found on my trip were found in the great coupon/info books. i have listed their sites below in case you need planning info, but the books are at most of the hotels in vegas if you need hard copies to carry with you.

-pretty much every hotel has copies of the free little guide books/coupon books like

las vegas magazine-web site kinda sucks, but the book is great

24/7 book-great for what shows are playing where and ticket costs

las vegas quick guide

these books generally also include a map of the strip and/or the old strip.

if you want to get last minute or discount tickets, check out the small discount ticket vendor sites that located outside some of the hotels. they usually have great deals on shows that have excess seating, discounts available or if you want to purchase ahead. if you want any of the really popular shows it is better to book waaaay in advance if possible as the big shows sell out fast.

as for transporation, alot of the strip is walking and there are several outdoor things to see depending on the time of day...the fountains at the bellagio, the people riding the outdoor gondolas at the venetian, the treasure island outdoor show in the evenings...you can see alot on foot. if you are not up for all the walking, the transit service in vegas offers a shuttle that runs between the strip and the old downtown strip. depending on how much you plan to ride it may be better to get the 'all access' 24 hr pass as normally you pay per ride and it can add up fast.

hope this info gets you on your way...i am sure we have some vegas dimmers on here that will provide even more great info!

Would love to hear what shows anyone has seen and what they loved or hated about them.
