If youre from the Commonwealth like a lot of us in this community appear to be, you probably know or have heard of or contributed to Rosies Place in Boston. In a nutshell, it has been supporting women since 1974. Their "Womens Craft Cooperative" program helps their artisans learn to begin supporting themselves. I don't want to step on any toes, as I know a handful of you run those Etsy boutiques and jewelry-making sites, but the women who are in the Rosie's Place programs are there because, a lot of times, it is a last resort for them as in an alternative to the streets... and Mothers' Day is just once a year.
I thought, since Mothers Day is only a week away, itd be a good time for us to post any gift idea(s) that would benefit both your mom as well as others and/or other mothers. I dont really get along particularly well with my Mom most of the time, I confess, but very little in life can make me happier than seeing her happy. I know a lot of you Ive spoken to in confidence over the years echo this sentiment.
Mine are both related to Rosies Place in Boston:
